About this integration

Fidelity does not currently offer a public OAuth API. We integrate via SnapTrade aggregator. The setup is read-only and TFQ never sees Fidelity credentials directly — SnapTrade handles the auth.

Setup

  1. 1System → Brokers → Connect Fidelity (via SnapTrade)
  2. 2SnapTrade Fidelity auth flow
  3. 3Sign in to Fidelity
  4. 4Approve
  5. 5Sync completes in ~3 minutes

Known limitations

  • !Fidelity CSV export is also supported — System → Brokers → Upload CSV → Fidelity preset. Take the Activity export from Accounts → History: it is a per-fill log, so buys and sells are paired FIFO into round trips and realised P&L is derived from the paired legs rather than read off the Amount column.

How to export your trades from Fidelity

Fidelity writes its trade history at Accounts → History. In TradeFlow Quantum that file imports with the Fidelity preset.

  1. 1On Fidelity.com open Accounts → History and run the Activity export.
  2. 2In TradeFlow Quantum open System → Brokers → Upload CSV.
  3. 3Choose "Fidelity" from the preset dropdown, then upload the file.

Columns we read from the Fidelity export

Price ($)Price

Run DateTrade Date

Header matching is case-insensitive and ignores punctuation and spacing, so a renamed-but-recognisable header still resolves. A file needs a ticker, an entry price, a size and a date to import at all; direction and P&L are filled in when present.

  • Action on a Fidelity Activity export reads YOU BOUGHT, YOU SOLD and YOU SOLD SHORT. The importer strips the leading YOU, reads the verb, and pairs the fills FIFO into round trips.
  • Fidelity puts the currency inside the header itself, so the preset matches Price ($) as well as the bare Price.
  • Run Date is tried before Trade Date for the timestamp.

How the Fidelity connection syncs

Connection route
SnapTrade. Fidelity offers no public OAuth API, so the aggregator holds the connection and TradeFlow Quantum never handles Fidelity credentials.
Refresh cadence
The Daily Data tier is read-only with roughly a 24-hour lag, so the CSV path above is the faster route for same-day journaling.

Fidelity import caveats

  • Fidelity publishes more than one report type and they do not share column names. This preset targets the Activity export specifically.

Why use TradeFlow Quantum instead of Fidelity's built-in tools?

  • Cross-broker view. If you trade Fidelity plus any other broker, TFQ unifies the equity curve, P&L attribution, and mistake-checker across all of them.
  • Mistake-checker on YOUR data — surfaces patterns in your Fidelity history (time-of-day, setup type, emotional state) the broker won’t show you.
  • Long-term data ownership. Fidelity’s built-in analytics typically limit history to 90 days or 1 year. TFQ keeps every trade forever, exportable to CSV any time.
