MetaTrader 5 trading journal
Upload MT5 trade history HTML report or CSV.
About this integration
MT5 users export trade history via the Toolbox → History → right-click → Save As Report. Both HTML and CSV formats are supported by TFQ's importer. EA-bridge live sync is being researched for a future release.

How to export your trades from MetaTrader 5
MetaTrader 5 writes its trade history at right-click Account History → Report → Save as CSV. In TradeFlow Quantum that file imports with the MetaTrader 4 / 5 statement (forex prop firms) preset.
- 1In MetaTrader 4 or 5, right-click Account History → Report → Save as CSV.
- 2In TradeFlow Quantum open System → Brokers → Upload CSV.
- 3Choose "MetaTrader 4 / 5 statement (forex prop firms)" from the preset dropdown, then upload the file.

Header matching is case-insensitive and ignores punctuation and spacing, so a renamed-but-recognisable header still resolves. A file needs a ticker, an entry price, a size and a date to import at all; direction and P&L are filled in when present.
- •A MetaTrader statement is one of the few exports that carries both an Open Price and a Close Price on the same row, so round trips import as complete trades rather than as two separate legs that have to be paired.
- •MetaTrader labels direction Type — holding Buy or Sell — and size Volume. Some statements name the instrument column Item rather than Symbol; both resolve.
MetaTrader 5 import caveats
- —Volume is measured in lots. One lot is 100,000 units of the base currency for major pairs, so the size column is not a share count.
- —MetaTrader reports Profit already denominated in the account currency, so it imports as-is with no conversion.
- —The same preset covers MT4 and MT5, and it is the path most forex prop firms take — FTMO, FundedNext and The Funded Trader all execute through MetaTrader.
Why use TradeFlow Quantum instead of MetaTrader 5's built-in tools?
- ✓Cross-broker view. If you trade MetaTrader 5 plus any other broker, TFQ unifies the equity curve, P&L attribution, and mistake-checker across all of them.
- ✓Mistake-checker on YOUR data — surfaces patterns in your MetaTrader 5 history (time-of-day, setup type, emotional state) the broker won’t show you.
- ✓Long-term data ownership. MetaTrader 5’s built-in analytics typically limit history to 90 days or 1 year. TFQ keeps every trade forever, exportable to CSV any time.
