Sierra Chart trading journal

Upload Sierra Chart trade activity log CSV.

About this integration

Sierra Chart users export via File → Reports → Trade Activity Log → Save As. TFQ has no Sierra Chart-specific preset — upload the file with the Generic CSV (auto-detect) preset, which recognises the common column names. Native OAuth is under consideration on the roadmap — Sierra Chart's architecture makes it more complex than typical brokers.

Supported instruments

futures

Setup

  1. 1In Sierra Chart: File → Reports → Trade Activity Log
  2. 2Save as CSV with default columns
  3. 3In TFQ: System → Brokers → Upload CSV → Generic CSV (auto-detect)
  4. 4Check a few rows after import — see known issues

Known limitations

  • !There is no Sierra Chart-specific preset; the Generic CSV (auto-detect) preset handles the export. If your log has no realised-P&L column, TFQ pairs the fills and derives P&L itself, and that math applies no contract multiplier — futures rows would import at the raw point difference (an ES trade at $50/point would be off by 50x). Spot-check a few rows against Sierra Chart's own P&L after importing.

Why use TradeFlow Quantum instead of Sierra Chart's built-in tools?

  • ✓Cross-broker view. If you trade Sierra Chart plus any other broker, TFQ unifies the equity curve, P&L attribution, and mistake-checker across all of them.
  • ✓Mistake-checker on YOUR data — surfaces patterns in your Sierra Chart history (time-of-day, setup type, emotional state) the broker won’t show you.
  • ✓Long-term data ownership. Sierra Chart’s built-in analytics typically limit history to 90 days or 1 year. TFQ keeps every trade for as long as your account exists, exportable any time — closed trades as CSV, everything including open positions as a JSON backup.
